Be Strong in the Gospel
Be Strong in the Gospel
Topic: Courage, Faith, Fear, Government, Pentecost
Book: Deuteronomy, Ephesians, Mark, Psalms
Sermon given by the Rev. Mark R. Galloway (Bishop-retired) on 14 Pentecost (8/29/21).
In this sermon, the Bishop-retired reflects upon recent world events, including the United States’ abject humanitarian failure in Afghanistan and rapid cultural decline on the heels of the withdrawal. Christians around the world today have much to be concerned about, from a worldly perspective, but the Rev. Galloway encourages us that Christ has won the victory over the world, and so Christians can remain strong in the Gospel.
Readings: Deuteronomy 4:1-9; Psalm 15; Ephesians 6:10-20; Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23
