Jesus’ final words were: “It is finished.” What was finished, then? It was his Father’s work, to lay down his life, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. It is finished. Christ died for you. Christ died for me. May we ponder those words in our hearts as we enter the glory of Easter.

Speaker: The Rev. Mark Galloway
Topic: Cross, Good Friday, Holy Week, Justification, Lent
Book: John
We are quick to justify ourselves by our own works and self-righteousness. As Christians, we easily fall into the trap of looking not to the cross but to our own virtue-signaling for assurance of salvation. As the Rev. Galloway explores Christ’s final hour on the cross this Good Friday, we are asked the question: Is the cross not enough for us?
